The Council on Foreign Relation’s International Affairs Fellowship for Tenured International Relations Scholars offers tenured professors of U.S. foreign policy and international relations direct experience in the foreign policymaking field through placement in a U.S. government agency or international organization for a period of twelve months. The program will match 50% of the fellow’s base salary for the academic year at their university (up to a maximum of $80,000 for the year).

The fellowship is open to tenured professors who hold a PhD, have arranged a paid sabbatical with their home university, propose to work on peace and security issues, and have never worked at a U.S. government agency or an international organization.

Interested applicants should apply on CFR’s website by October 31, 2017. Official selections will be made in December.
