The Biden center will be hosting its inaugural conference on The Future of the Global Order in an Era of Populism, Nationalism, and Retrenchment. Registration will open on Tuesday, September 5th
The overall goal of the conference is to explore how populism, nationalism and retrenchment as global phenomena are altering the global order as we know it.
- Can the global order survive an era of nationalism?
- Will international alliances overcome national retrenchment?
- When is electoral democracy a pathway to populism?
- What key forces will shape the world’s economic future?
Panelists explore these questions and more with world leaders, diplomats, military officials, journalists, and industry experts. In partnership with the Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, the conference will also be hosting the inaugural Leaders Dialogue, featuring former Vice President Biden. The conference will be broken down into three panel discussions, and will conclude with a dialogue between former Vice President Biden and a guest.
