Stephen Quest, the Director General for Taxation and the Customs Union, speaks today at Georgetown Law’s IIEL on September 22 to present the EU’s tax policy agenda.

Over the past several years, the European Commission has pursued an ambitious agenda to achieve fairer corporate taxation in the European Union. As part of this agenda, the Commission has proposed the Anti Tax Avoidance Directive (ATAD), directives for both a Common Corporate Tax Base and a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base, and an updated listing process for the Council to use in order to identify countries that fail to comply with tax good governance standards.

The event, co-sponsored with the university’s tax program, starts at 9am and will be followed by a Q&A with IIEL faculty and students, regulators and diplomats.
