As a kick-off to its Second Annual Fintech Week to be held 5-8 November, 2018, Georgetown’s Institute of International Economic Law will co-host with the International Monetary Fund a two-day research and policy conference on cryptoassets. The conference—which will gather some of the world’s leading legal experts, economists, tech developers and regulators—will analyze the operation, utility and regulation of crypto assets (and where relevant, accompanying blockchain technologies) across global market, economic and legal ecosystems.
In preparation for the conference, which will be held at both the Georgetown University Law Center and IMF headquarters, the organizers are requesting proposals to be submitted for papers.. Selected papers will be included in a joint International Monetary Fund-Georgetown publication to be released in conjunction with the conference.
We welcome submissions from academics as well as experts from the governmental, non-profit and private sectors. Paper proposals are due by July 15th, 2018, and should be sent to IIEL via email at lawiiel@georgetown.edu with the subject line “IMF-GU Paper Submission.”
Submissions should include the full name and contact information of the authors, as well as an accompanying CV. Drafts must be available for public consumption by late October.
